u got this πŸ’ͺ🏻⚑️

So you gave upon debian to go evil proprietary ubuntu?

Dont forget about Trisquel for free open source Ubuntu version πŸ˜‰

There’s so many types and I have no clue. πŸ˜‚

ubuntu spies on you

not free software

Really, like google?

yes!

if you have compatible hardware, try to run Debian or Trisquel only.

If you want freedom.

My MO is, if my hardware supports it, RUN #FLOSS only!

#GNULinux

Debian is my go to OS for running VMs in the cloud--Google, AWS...

Trisquel takes the Linux Kernel and removes all the proprietary blobs by default.

Libre Kernel only!!!

Ubuntu is a distro OWNED by the CORPORATION called CANNONICAL.

enough said....

There are advantages to having a company supporting a distribution, just ask Red Hat. πŸ˜‰

I am using Pop!_OS supported by the folks at system76. I run it on my own hardware.

sure, but in this community, most people are looking for freedom, rather than proprietary corporate "advantages"....

I mean consumer or end-user advantages.

that includes us!

here in detail 13 years ago. this has not changed. it is still the same today. richard has given a presentation last month, he repeated that. today's ubuntu is not free

So what would be your way to fix connection issue? Reinstall?

read the experience of users at

distrowatch.com

then decide what to install

i like manjaro based on archlinux, easy to install

mx is also easy to install based on debian

debian is free software

debian does not work with the umbrel script but it works with any other lightning software

https://mynodebtc.com/ #MyNode image is Debian and free - BTC Node, LN Node, Nostr relay, create the USB stick, plug n play!

I really wanted to use manjaro, but proved to be a little challenging for my needs. I am hoping to try it again soon when i learn more about its commands and repos... there is also less community support to rely on than debian or unbutu based distros. But I do love what they are doing!

haha we replied with the same video!! BRO-SKI!

πŸ€™

What about pureOS ?

Good luck! Hopefully it was a driver issue and Ubuntu will fix it right away.

If not, you'll have to start getting familiar with some network diagnostic commands. Keep this reference handy:

Be patient and take it easy. Linux is learned by dealing with these problems little by little!
