i've had the same number for 22 or 23 years. everyone i've met half of my life can contact me via that number. it's part of my identity. i wouldn't want to change it.

I think most people would feel the same. I used to feel that way. I had the same number for close to 20 years.

I have my number for ages. Tbh however my phonebook is full of people I didn't call in years. And to be more honest that's for reason.

So maybe I should let go my old number so that they don't call me in my bright future 🤔😀

It feels good to know who can reach you. I had a number for many years and it was tough to let go of. Now I feel so free. People can reach me here or on signal. And only a handful of people have my signal.

Yesterday I deleted 75 people from my contacts that I haven't called in a decade and have no need to ever talk to them again. ( Mostly old Android and Google+ friends from way back.)

Way back when you had to manually transfer your contacts to a new phone it was nice, gave you a chance to clear out the cruft.

I live like this now by choice. It feels gold to me. My circle is smallll
