Meta is considering getting customers in Europe to pay monthly subscription fees to use Instagram and Facebook if they don't agree to let Meta use their data to serve them ads.

On Nostr it will be the other way around. Clients will eventually consider serving ads if users don’t agree to pay to use them.

I’ve said it in the past, if I as a consumer got input on what topic, how many and got some recompense, I’d rather that than those building nostr clients be struggling financially. Similar to the Brave browser model.

This fine is a slap on the wrist. EU should be ashamed of their own cowardice.
