Mulling over the differences of Oslo vs. Vegas.

In vegas a lot of talks lead you to check the price.

Oslo talks remind me why I am a bitcoiner. I did not check the price at all while there.

I am not in bitcoin to get rich. But what an amazing side effect that wealth could come from making the world a better place.

Bitcoin is truly a rising tide.

For what it's worth, I didn't check price while in Vegas either (except when Kraken ad shoved it in my face)

Same. That's why I don't tell people about bitcoin anymore. They only want to talk about dollars. That's all they care about. They work jobs they hate until their old for dollars. It's kind of a bummer.

One caters to the individual

The other caters to institutions

Why are you checking the price of Bitcoin if you aren't looking to get rich off of it? I never check the balance of my bank account.

It's not us. It's the people who say, "BTC."

I couldn't believe how many people were checking the price on their phone while my heros were talking.

for now higher price = more freedom.

Yes bro! That's right 😉🫵 🏴‍☠️

Vegas take away, how ₿itcoin makes the energy grid more reliable and efficient is not being discussed.

Did you do any cooking while you were in Oslo? If so I’m sorry I missed it. I want to do a beefsteak during Arendalsuka (norways largest political conference)

Same!

Exactly how I felt too

I want to go to Oslo now too. This was the first year I attended the Bitcoin conference.

It was strange. I felt like I had gaydar for ride or die freaks. You can totally tell who they are.

I just walked up to people who set off my sat-spidey senses waiting for an Uber and said, "Hi. I'm Marc. What's your npub?"

They all had one. It was amazing.

I bet Oslo's even more like that.

This is so important to do. Get differing perspectives and combine them.

Thanks for sharing

Bitcoin is hope.

Oslo and Riga is where to find the signal in Europe.

Price and freedom go hand in hand. You cant have one without the other in Bitcoin.

This is so interesting. Goes to the idea Jeff Booth talks a lot about. Which system you gonna live in?
