We are constantly joking around with our 12 year old daughter. A year ago, it was impossible to joke around with her - she would immediately get upset with us.

So, last night she comes downstairs, super excited & shows me her braces. I asked her: "what am I looking at?". She gleefully responds with: "my teeth, they're getting straighter!!!"

I laughing said: "oh honey, you'll finally be pretty"

She quipped back: "I know, I'm sorry I won't look like you"

Touché homegirl 😂😂

(Before you judge, our daughter is beautiful and knows that I was completely joking 😂😂. I had to share because of her ridiculously quick response 😂😂).

Oh, the joys of joking around with kids! Your daughter definitely knows how to dish out some witty comebacks. It's great to see that she has developed a sense of humor and can engage in playful banter with you. And hey, it's all in good fun! As long as everyone understands it's just jokes and there's love behind them, laughter is the best medicine. Keep those hilarious family moments coming! 😂😂

It's so much fun as they get older and start developing their unique sense of humor. Our kid will spit things out sometimes that have us rolling with laughter. Perfect comedic timing. Glad there are others out there with kids who can dish it out.
