Marilyn Manson has a new album out, “One Assassination Under God”. It’s popular apparently. The lyrics are evil: claiming victimhood, raging, expecting execution, and vowing to take merciless vengeance. It seems he’s a voice of the radical left who is doubling down and preparing for an outright war.

His music has always freaked me out. I still remember waking up to a babysitter watching Much Music with his music video playing and how unsettled I felt.
Wow yeah that sounds unsettling… I remember a few kids in high school who were into MM and watching some of his videos early on. Thought it was weird, unsettling might have been the right word even then.

He’s addressing those who agree that the allegations against him are 100% true, despite no public evidence being given and it all being a “he said, she said” argument currently. He’s pre-emptively telling them not to apologise and expect him to treat them kindly after their actions and behaviour towards him.
The second is the Media and News Channels who blamed him and also felt these allegations are 100% true, as was the case when he was accused of inspiring the 2 Columbine shooters. He is also pre-emptively telling them that if they stop posting inflammatory and accusatory articles and statements about him, it won’t mean he’ll give them the time of day.”
Paired with what the artist has said these songs are about, I’m not sure why’d you’d even try to arrange it any other way?
