I went to a small maple syrup producer when I was a kid visiting friends in Quebec. We went through the whole process. Very interesting. From collecting sap from the trees, to boiling it, to tapping the final product. We also made something called jack-wax, where the hot AF boiling syrup was poured out on the snow where it quickly solidified in 4-5in strips. It was like candy. I learned a lot on that trip I always fondly remember it.

Nice! We normally go to the local maple syrup festival every year here. It's always the same thing, but we always enjoy it.
