They forked off. And they did a great job imo.
Their fork of mastodon is no longer interoperable with the larger fediverse, but it never really was because all the major instances blocked gab’s as soon as they switched to mastodon in 2019 after mastodon called them bad names:

Has gab integrated bitcoin?
They were actually forced to back when they initially lost their payment rails. I remember it was check in the mail or bitcoin back then. They’ve since got their fiat rails back, but still accept bitcoin.
Gab are amazing. Just by existing they invalidated Mastodon’s proposition, proved you don’t need financial rails by adopting Bitcoin, and were ten years ahead of Silicon Valley.

Free speech means allowing people to say what they want. There is a lot of anti jew speak on the gab platform, but there are also a lot of evil jews who have earned the ire. Personnaly I think the people spewing the jew hate are ignorant and doing no better than the race baiting on the left. The people in charge want you divided. Start dividing by good and evil and see how it goes for them... They will reap the whirl wind.
There is no such thing as a “White Supremacist Platform” Gab is a free speech platform; you can go there and say (and read) anything that’s legal to say in the USA. That’s legal, that’s American, and it’s good.
