Followers count will matter for zapvertisers who identify influencers by their reach. Unless there is a shift on how the metric is rearranged and the total value of zap indicates that that influencer has a further reach. Similarly the concept would apply to anyone looking to reach out to someone with a larger audience to spread the word intended
