I could say the same for any profession of skilled trades. There's no one behind me coming into this field. In 2030 I'll be in my 50s I'm already starting to slow down in my 40s. I haven't seen anyone in their late 20's with competence in years.
2030 is gonna be just the beginning. Entire skill sets will disappear.
I run a business in the trades, and you’re not lying. The issue isn’t a new one either. This has been going on since the 70’s. In any case I suppose I don’t really mind. I’m set to retire in a better way than %90 of college grads, and there’s not much I can’t fix myself. So if skill sets disappear then I’ll be alright. So will my kids. They all worked in the business. Society is going to be screwed though. It’s a good time to get into the trades has been a saying for decades now, it’s true today, and will be even more so in 2030.
