Is authy any better?
What are the good alternatives ?
Seems like 2FAS is the way (no data linked). I just found this out myself so I’ll have to check it out. It already has two things going for it, non-Google and open-source. 🤙

IF you are REALLY concerned about data collection or leakage I STRONGLY suggest you to use KeepassXC. It supports TOTP by a really long time. I'd rather put in the effort to manually copy my password files to my own cloud drive than trust password managers that use data centers run by those big tech companies we all know.
Having the authenticator on an old phone fixes this, Doesn't even require a sim card.
Pull an old phone out of a box. Put 2FA on that phone, problem solved. Doesn't even require a sim card.
Yubikeys or similar are better options

Is there a NOSTR BASED alternative?
