Health concerns aside, one of the biggest problems with most of the 21st century tech innovations like #AI is their reliance on massive data harvesting, as well as a surveillance driven business model for them to scale and profitable. In a world where trust is dead and privacy is a joke, why would anyone in their right mind feed dystopian machines like WorldCoin? The unfortunate reality is that as "AI" gets more pervasive in our electronic devices and software, and in the absence of viable alternatives, companies like Apple, Google, Amazon, OpenAI, Meta and Microsoft are going to wield more power than most nation states on the back of all the data they siphon from us on a daily basis. At this point, building AI-free hardware and software isn’t a niche preference, it’s a survival imperative.
