So poore people will need the Govt to help them with free stuff.
Why would the government want that?
It's just a group of people no?
People with power. Power can corrupt people. Once you are in the system and corruoted by it, you want to have more power or/and stay in power.
People depending on you is a great way to achieve that. When you have fear and have trouble to pay the bills then you ask the govt to protect you and give you stuff
Monetary slavery.
