Did you try to signup/login to a nostr.build account? Typically this is used in your DMs to confirm a https://nostr.build account.

Tried to sign up, couldn't use lightning, the bitcoin transaction fees were too high, so I've been sharing my husband's account.

It’s just a DM from when you tried to verify your account, that’s all. Since you are not following the npub of the messenger, you probably never acknowledged it or saw it. Same as you would see with any other DM on your client from other strangers 🐶🐾🫡
