Bro you cable??? I also have mk3’s and have only ever used microsd cards. It has never been directly connected to a computer. No i cannot defend whether that is necessary or beneficial in any way

Just ordered the mk4. Trying to decide whether to let it generate the seed phrase or roll dice?
Either way is safe (as long as you have enough dice rolls). I prefer to roll the 🎲🎲
I’m switching from a Ledger to the Coldcard so it’s only my second hardware wallet. It is the case that it is open source, so anyone can verify that the seed phrase generator on it is legit (not me, I won’t be auditing any code anytime soon haha). Is that right?
Coldcard mk4 is not fully open source. If I’m not mistaken the source code is viewable (maybe was?) but it’s not available for anyone to use for whatever they want.
