Newbie here. I'm been using snort, and while it is a beautiful app and I have had a good experience, I am looking for a nostr app that is perhaps geared to a different kind of content. I'm thinking maybe more long form content and communities? Maybe a way to bookmark stuff I see?
There are groups/communities. Not all nostr clients show you them. Nostrudel does a good job showing them. They're also not all that used. However they are useful to find people to follow who want to talk about Other Stuff.

You can also add the 'mostr' bridge relay thingum by nostr:npub108pv4cg5ag52nq082kd5leu9ffrn2gdg6g4xdwatn73y36uzplmq9uyev6 to your relay list which will give you access to mastodon/fediverse people to follow.
Add: Relay.mostr.pub to your relay list
nostr:npub1m4ny6hjqzepn4rxknuq94c2gpqzr29ufkkw7ttcxyak7v43n6vvsajc2jl often has non-bitcoin long form content and reposts others, she may have more suggestions of people to follow.

How do you see people on relays? There's so much I don't know too lol
I love Highlighter, but it's currently under construction. Will be awesome soon, but not a good choice, right now.
Are you on PC, Android, or Apple?
Coracle is my default recommendation for newbies. Nostrudel, for someone more advanced, who doesn't mind the functionality constantly changing.
Both handle communities and long-form well. Coracle even shows highlights.
I forget coracle does communities, I need to explore that bit more. In general coracle is best atm for browser. (Just bear in mind you won't see reposted notes unless they are quoted reposts).
Nostrudel profile pages are very useful to see what communities people are part of.
