I could get it working, there just hasn't been a large demand for it (or for sendsats.lol for that matter) so I haven't spent too much time on it.

I just get a time out error after 4 seconds, I’m guessing would need significantly more time to even somewhat reliably connect to a tor node.

I'm not even sure if signups still work... 😅 I mainly just use it for my node atm. It works a lot better with just an IP or dynamic DNS setup. sendsats masks your IP so that is nice if you're worried about it.
if you're using tor as a way to punch through your firewall, I would not recommend that, it's not meant for that, and it's insecure.
Thanks. 🙏🏻 makes sense! For us plebs all lightning node in a box options are all behind tor by default and you cannot easily have a clear net option(fairy imho).
