Lightning has a tendency to centralization, just like the internet, due to efficiency gains.
However, anyone can join the network on the same level as the others, contrary to the internet, which is more gated.
The important part is to build privacy feature as soon as possible, and don't leave them for the future. We may not be able to build them later. - Evan

Lightning seems not to be the best way to incentives systems like Tor or similar, since it is very good when it works, but it is really bad when it does not. - Calle

How much of the growth of LN will be driven by other layers (cashu, ark, etc.) and how much to assets built on it?
Tx volume of stablecoins is way higher than the one of Bitcoin, so it probably will be the second.
