Is there anything that isn’t improved by decentralized?
Discussion
Yes
*decentralization
Centralization improves efficiency. Decentralization improves security and immutability. Trade offs to both.
Quality greatly suffers with centralization too imo
Centralised things
Parenting
ummm
Hmmm, Im on the fence. I think their is valid debate that parenting with grandparents in multigenerational households is better.
*there
Ugh Im struggling today
I'd put grandparents/aunt's/uncle's/etc under the centralized group of "family."
Outside the family you have a lot of bad actors, such as the state, that want to brainwash your children.
If you run a business, decentralized decision making leads to a disjointed product or service.
What should be centralized will definitely fail in a decentralized environment. There are always pros and cons. None of these are "ultimate best solution" because it varies on every project and it must be cleverly chosen what direction must be followed.
Video games
The lightning network would be useless if it was truly decentralized. Your LND node might be able to open channels with other LND nodes but you and your wealth are still at the will of LND. Take a few months ago as an example. Everyone was forced to update their node to have the privilege to close channels
Defend a group from an adversary: centralized.
Defend a group from itself: decentralized.
Centralization brings efficiency. Most things benefit from it. The problem is corruption and/or single point of failure.
