While I don’t want to minimize the struggles anyone faces, because life can be a real challenge just to get by, and you are right that the fiat system is fucked. But sometimes a change in perspective can completely change your outlook. I had the opportunity years ago to live in a very remote part of the world in an extremely impoverished country doing mission work. Until going through such an experience, my American brain could not have fathomed the level of struggle that is simply normal for many people in the world. When I finally returned home, I realized how well off we are here, despite the struggle to make ends meet. In America, for most people “struggling” is a fight for comfort and convenience. In many places it is literally a fight for life from one day to the next.

i understand this and personally have family in iran in a village with no clean water, and barely enough food to survive. it’s all bad, nobody should have to suffer to stay alive. i personally know that in america it may be seen as the want of comfort, but don’t deny the amount of houseless folks we have and people starving in our own country.

it may seem different somewhere else, but we’re not far off.

Absolutely there are real people experiencing real crises here. Like I said, not minimizing the pain they experience. Just offering perspective. For perspective, this was the village where I lived and the little “bathroom” I used while I was there 😅 The nearest town with any semblance of services was at least a day’s travel on foot through muddy mountain terrain, and any supplies in or out were carried on your back. I do feel for homeless starving people here in America, and helping them find solutions to those problems is good and important. But even the poorest among us here have it far better than many in the world, and many here who think they’re struggling to survive are simply struggling to be comfortable and have a convenient life. Work and struggle are simply part of life. Perspective key.

Of that, the only constant remains the struggle of Man in the pursuit of happiness
