Having a fun job fixes this

nah. bitcoin fixes it.

True, bitcoin and cashflow from a passion

Gotta do AC repair in a Bitcoin community Roya!

bitcoin ain't gonna fix humans competing 😂

idk i’m not a software engineer which has become a highly saturated industry. i work real labor my dude.

which king of labor?

hvac and refrigeration. what do you do in software just wondering?

who said I'm in software? why aren't you satisfied with your job?

didn’t say i wasn’t satisfied with my job. you’re making assumptions based on your weird need to feel powerful. i was talking about the general life of the majority who work in the fiat world.

what do you do then? be a full time dickhead?

Why would we want to fix that?

Anthropologists have shown that many of the African bush tribes, who lived in some of the most inhospitable areas, could satisfy the needs (security/food/shelter) of their people in three days. The other four days of the week were spent gossiping, sitting around the fire, making art, singing, and pontificating about the magic of the world.

And then life was over at the ripe old age of 39.

😆

39 good years 😂

To be clear, I wasn’t suggesting that we return to a hunter gathering existence. I was trying to point out that we do not need much to “survive” and that what some people are “struggling” for are not the necessities of life. That being said, there are many in North America and around the world who are. Also, our system jn NA doesn’t make it easy to find a place somewhere in the middle, where I think true happiness resides. For me anyway.

Lol I understood. Roya nailed it in identifying the fiat system being at the center of society’s problems. It feeds the human addiction to power and money for those that benefit most from it, and the ripple effect out steals away the opportunity for others to thrive and sustain themselves within the system. I think we’re all probably hovering around the same conclusions, just each describing different aspects of it from our own perspectives.

Yes, exactly. I'm a simple man and I desire simple things. It shouldn't be this "hard", or I shouldn't have to "struggle" so hard to achieve the life I want. WIth all of the conveniences and progress we have made, we all should be much "wealthier" (not talking about material possessions).

While I don’t want to minimize the struggles anyone faces, because life can be a real challenge just to get by, and you are right that the fiat system is fucked. But sometimes a change in perspective can completely change your outlook. I had the opportunity years ago to live in a very remote part of the world in an extremely impoverished country doing mission work. Until going through such an experience, my American brain could not have fathomed the level of struggle that is simply normal for many people in the world. When I finally returned home, I realized how well off we are here, despite the struggle to make ends meet. In America, for most people “struggling” is a fight for comfort and convenience. In many places it is literally a fight for life from one day to the next.

i understand this and personally have family in iran in a village with no clean water, and barely enough food to survive. it’s all bad, nobody should have to suffer to stay alive. i personally know that in america it may be seen as the want of comfort, but don’t deny the amount of houseless folks we have and people starving in our own country.

it may seem different somewhere else, but we’re not far off.

Absolutely there are real people experiencing real crises here. Like I said, not minimizing the pain they experience. Just offering perspective. For perspective, this was the village where I lived and the little “bathroom” I used while I was there 😅 The nearest town with any semblance of services was at least a day’s travel on foot through muddy mountain terrain, and any supplies in or out were carried on your back. I do feel for homeless starving people here in America, and helping them find solutions to those problems is good and important. But even the poorest among us here have it far better than many in the world, and many here who think they’re struggling to survive are simply struggling to be comfortable and have a convenient life. Work and struggle are simply part of life. Perspective key.

Of that, the only constant remains the struggle of Man in the pursuit of happiness

True. But also true: so many poor people I met in latin america wont give up cigs, beer and restaurants to stack sats. Their vice is worth more to them than future. I saw family men do this. Huge chunk of people could save a bit or think about side hustle yet they wont. Cigy and beer is more important.

Death resulting from that will only show in 20y

not the avacado toast response.

berating poor people for using vices to deal with the insurmountable stress that the fiat economy has forced on them, won’t do anything but make you look like a douche.

What doesn’t kill you make you stronger 👊🏼🫂

You are in a good path…time to make adjustments, you got it! 💪
