Yes quite right , what will they do indeed. However, and you'll forgive me here, but I think that the "I'm not a criminal, I don't mind" is a very lazy position to take on invasive surveillance technologies.

If a stranger was looking in your window when you were having your dinner with your family , would it suffice to say , "don't worry about the strange man at the window, we didn't do anything wrong, now pass the peas.".

Also , this type of attitude is acting as a catalyst for the erosion of long established ideals in the realm of justice, namely that you are innocent until prooven guilty.

We should NOT accept, under any circumstances the presumption that we are all potential criminals and require preventive measures.
