They've done a bunch of things that they supposedly couldn't by law.

So, there's a demonstrated willingness to take things to court and they seem to win a lot of the cases.

If they win, it isn't against the law. If they lose, it would be. To my knowledge, there has not been any major losing cases in court to which they have not complied with circuit or supreme court rulings.

But either way, none of this matters and doesn't change the fact, the majority of the IRS agents are not currently funded currently.

I think we're on the same page. I'm just pointing out that people claiming something is prohibited by law hasn't stopped them from doing many things, so I didn't expect it to stop them from trying this particular thing.
