Hot take: The best wallets are custodial unless you're running your own node using Zeus.
Hot take, but unfortunately true for now... WoS and Alby have never failed me. But I only keep a tiny amount on them which I would survive getting rugged. I basically use them like my pocket, assuming money could fall out of my pocket.
I have tried mutiny. I had my channel force closed and never started another one. It may have been my fault for sending a zap and forgetting to open the wallet.
