More bitcoin?

😎🤙

Other things are here. Search hashtags like #introductions #foodstr #grillstr #grownostr (you get the picture) and find things/people with common interests to follow and interact with…🤙🏻

Gotcha. I will try this advice. Thanks

Welcome to #nostr

You can try other clients (web, andriod, ios, grapheneOS etc) to gain a different experience.

I would suggest adding different Relays to your profile to get a different world view of nostr and an exciting feed of notes.

Thanks. Seems like I need to educate myself on what relays are.

Zaps and bitcoin is the only innovative part of social media. So we're celebrating for life.

Nostr was created by bitcoiners and seemingly adopted first by bitcoiners escaping the dumpster fire that is twitter.

The two systems are independent (with zaps being a bridge). Both share the value of being ungovernable. There is a lot of ideological alignment between nostr and bitcoin. Neither can be censored or stopped. No one has to provide permission for anyone else to use the software.

They benefit eachother and a symbiotic way.

Just the early days. Nostr is decentralized and immutable, so in that way it is very aligned with the Bitcoin ethos. Nostr clients also tend to use the Lightning network for ‘zap’ micropayments, which is a scaling solution for Bitcoin.

All that said, nothing about Nostr requires Bitcoin. And Nostr is also a very capable protocol with a use case only now being explored. There’s room here for infinitely more than Bitcoin.

Try following some tags like #coffeechain #foodstr #permies #carstr

You not following me.

Sure I am 😉

I'm seeing similar but if you follow a few hashtags it does open it all up a bit more. You can also look at the global thread, lots of randomness there.

I'm sure it will become more eclectic and well rounded as more users flee from elsewhere!

Hope so!

Seems like nostr is still mostly bots
