The state’s responsibility is to stay out of the way of productive people, and to stop people who try to get in the way of productive people.

The state inevitably becomes the one to step in the way of productive people.
That’s giving way too much power to the state! Who is the state to decide what is and isn’t productive? We see this issue in today’s politics all the time. What is “productive” to one side is not “productive” to another side. States should have minimal power. A free market is the way to go!
