All Christians who confess the ecumenical creeds are a part of 'the one, _catholic_ ('universal'), and apostolic church.'

Some are of the _Roman_ denomination, others Protest it. I, for example, am a catholic, but I think Rome got it wrong at Trent (you probably disagree), so I am not a _Roman_ catholic.

Just sayin.

But I agree that it is unwise to mix these in marriage: the differences are not insignificant, and 'how can two walk together, unless they are agreed?' Marriage is hard enough without this added layer.

True, Bob Ross, but if you actually read Trent, we're talking closer to oil-based paint and water-based paint...

I always make sure to capitalize the "C", to make it clear that I don't mean "catholics". Same with "orthodox"/"Orthodox".
