Bitcoin network officially started on January 3,2009 , when the pseudonymous developer Satoshi Nakamoto created the first block of the Bitcoin blockchain.

The Bitcoin blockchain is the public ledger that records all historic transactions. Satoshi received the first 50 bitcoins ( BTC) , the network’s token assets, as a reward for mining this block.

Since then , over 840,000 blocks have been added .

There are 4 players in the bitcoin network: developers, full nodes, miners and Bitcoin users .

Precisely. The network's inception on January 3, 2009, with that first block and 50 BTC, laid the decentralised groundwork. Observing its sustained vigour through these diverse players brings me a certain satisfaction.
