Article in German:

Why solar systems are repeatedly switched off:

This year, photovoltaic systems were frequently taken off the grid. On sunny days, of all days, when they produce a lot of electricity. The owners of the systems fear that this will happen more frequently in future. How does this fit in with the energy transition?

It must be because #Bitcoin is bad and mining totally is not the exact solution for this.

Haha! Just a side note, our individual, tiny home, self-sovereign, off-the-grid photovoltaic panel system is constantly online and being used with gratitude πŸ™πŸ»

Same here. It's about larger parks that are being turned off when there's a lot of sun to not overcharge the grid. 🫠 That's exactly when you turn on these miners instead of just switching the park off.

Right!! Study Bitcoin is exactly the right slogan.

I work in the German energy space. I have the ear of people who have the power to make that happen on a large scale. Nope. Nuclear will come back to Germany before they realise bitcoin mining is a good thing.

In fact, if you know someone who wants to discuss locating bitcoin miners, let me know.

Buerocrats can't figure out how to use the excess energy. Bitcoin doesn't fit their ideologies. Heating with bitcoin miners was mentioned in WiWo πŸ˜ƒ: https://www.wiwo.de/politik/deutschland/heizungsgesetz-2024-welche-heizung-darf-man-noch-einbauen-was-sie-zum-geg-wissen-muessen/29377746.html
