It’s actually very exciting. When I see videos of things people are doing that seem amazing, I wonder if it’s real or fake. Since there’s no way to truly know, it makes you value digital media less. The people that want these novel experiences have to go out into the world and see it for themselves.

Agreed. The AI slop era will also make propaganda much less effective. It’s going to build in a high level of skepticism into all media, reducing efficacy of the actual media which is (and always has been) fake propaganda production 😂

The people I follow on nostr right now are real. And I know they’re real because I’ve been following them since before AI became popular. That means in the future, I’ll trust your posts because you’ve built a reputation. So people will likely have to discern between real and fake stuff based on the reputation of the person posting.

Yeah that’s a great point. Timestamps on old media will be important too.

Ad timestamps; i can't remember if it started in trumps first term but I recognized that he did interviews when the chopper was running in the background and instantly thought about: what if they are doing this with intent. Adding noise which is random and so the videos can't be faked/spoofed?

AI can’t add random noise like that to videos too

Everything that can be thought of to prove authenticity will be used by AI. The only true way of knowing what is real is verifying it yourself by seeing it happen.

The average man speaks about 2,000 words per day. How many of those will be free from AI inception you think? They're gonna be absolutely flooded with garbage info making them more confused rather than critical thinkers.

Even when you consider that the population is irrational, a good amount of the time will be spent on people trying to discredit each other. Kinda like how they would discredit us for talking about chem trails and the vaccine connection to autism. So maybe not much will change lol or maybe they will doubt everything

The thing is, they’ll collide with the real world where passing off AI output as their own won’t pass. Maybe in some corporate jobs, it’ll work out, but we all know that path doesn’t lead to a good life.

Proof of work matters, and when you don’t put it in, reality will smack them in the face.

I was speaking with a professor and she told me that all her students use AI. What blows her mind is how few of them actually alter their homework to make it look like a human wrote it. This note will exist as a reminder to future generations that people were just as retarded before the invention of AI.

I was thinking about this as I wrote my note. So far it's really easy to tell when someone is using AI to write extended stuff. Anyone mastering any topic would instantly know what follow-up questions to ask to see if the other person knows what's what or is just spewing shit and buzzwords. This reminds me of that movie with Alec Baldwin and Woody Allen: To Rome With Love.

It’s more or less the same shit. The smartest people in any field are the ones creating most of the value. The retards are maintaining and expanding it. Now we just replace the retards with AI.

AI is making EVERYONE useless. I hear about women using ChatGPT for simple recipes, even. As if there aren't any cookbooks or friends/relatives they can call.
