I know I'm working hard right now bc this is a new place for us, and I'm not getting any younger so I want to get systems (and perennials) in place sooner rather than later. I actually enjoy working in the dirt, but I also like the aspect of doing work that will enable me to eat more from my own backyard. Sounds like you're on the other side of doing all of that?

That’s smart. What you’re doing seems great!
Yeah actually I did most of the work a couple years ago. But this lifestyle means working for as many years as I can move. Which I hope is many 🤓
I’m trying to observe more. Become more efficient. More natural. Understanding the seasons for effort, and the season for rest. I feel like a blunt object brute sometimes. Or that the world wants me to be one. I want to observe the subtle patterns around us and learn to work with nature. I feel like I have a lifetime of programming to let be undone. Which I’m fine with 😌
In other news, I have succeeded in removing blackberries from a large area just using a scythe. Each year it got a little easier. This year, there have only been like 2 or 3 sprouts instead of 100.
So progress 👍
