I’ve lived on a boat since I was twelve years of age. That’s nearly forty years of calling the ocean home!

During that time I’ve logged over 500k nm and sailed most of the worlds oceans. Crossed the Atlantic ten times, sailed from the Mediterranean to the North Sea twice, NE USA to the Caribbean over sixteen times and crossed the Pacific four times and my love for the sea and this lifestyle continues to grow with every nautical mile sailed.

This lifestyle is so rewarding for those that enjoy freedom and liberty.

Try it!!! 😁🤙

Since I was little I always imagined I’d live on a yacht and sail the oceans when I was older… so our truck is just my land yacht!

(I still harbour thoughts of a floating yacht at some point too!)

Nice the truck looks like an awesome alternative and we’ve often thought of doing something similar for remote land travel. That thing is a beast and has the ability to take you to some amazing places. Would love to hear more about your setup. Things like power consumption, production and ability to be self sufficient? How long can you stay remote for?

We had four years between this boat and our last one and did a lot of bike packing around Europe. Man we had a blast and it was very similar to cruising on a boat. All the things you need packed onto the bikes and full freedom in the direction you could take.

One of the things we enjoy most about living this way is that it teaches you to measure happiness by how little you need not how much you have. It expands our moments and helps us live more in the present.

Amazing that these two little bikes were able to carry enough gear to enable us to travel for months on end.

I often think about this but we’re still landlovers for now but always close to the sea! Happy the kids got to learn how to sail. I’m the only one in the family that doesn’t know how to move a boat 😂 or swim very well for that matter. I’ll be working on it again this summer though 👍

Definitely work on it 👍 as a life upon the water is incredibly rewarding for the entire family. It gives you more time as a family and more time for each other.
