Over multiple personal failures and experiences on the internet, I’ve learned one rule about domain names and their purchase. If you think you want it and it’s not taken, you purchase it without discussing it in public or with anyone you cannot trust 100%. It’s always first come first serve, unless you have a legal right through trademark or servicemark. 🫑
