Noob question: can this be used instead of a npub?
Your npub corresponds to your nsec (the key you login with)
Instead of having to share your very long npub to connect with people, you can get a Nostr address and share that instead. It makes it much easier for people to find you on Nostr.
So your npub still exists, but you can share your address instead.
