Celebrations at the European Central Bank

This year, the ECB is celebrating 25 years of the euro. Politicians and officials of this dubious institution are probably the only ones in a celebratory mood, however, after the junk currency has lost 50% of its purchasing power in the short time it has been in existence. Well, printing money and financing debt with the printing press have their price! Incidentally, the junk currency lost 70% of its value against gold and 99.5% against Bitcoin, which, according to the officials of this 'bank', has no intrinsic value. A successful model for those who use it to get rid of their debts at the expense of the general public.

Europe is fucked in that scenario. The European Union's days are numbered as is but, if the Fed keeps them rates high, the demise of the Union will be much quicker. Which is a shame, because on paper the EU is a wonderful idea. In practice, not so much, with those authoritarians running the thing from Brussels, without giving a fuck about the plebs. Pitchforks be comming, I guess

It's interesting how the press is completely ignoring the farmers' protests these days, for example. In Germany, the government has even superimposed a pseudo demonstration against right-wing extremists.

My opinion is that even if they didn't, people wouldn't care less about the #farmersprotests. People usually care about their sports team, their wallets in the immediate future, without trying to understand why it is becoming empty, but to only bitch and moan about it to other like minded individuals, and what some wise ass politician mindlessly babled last night on tv which will have 0 impact in their lives. Most people are numb and/or dumb and do not wish to change. They've outsourced critical thinking to those who yell the most in the media and take pride in dropping the names of those empty talking heads every time someone tries to show them how the world really works.
