Reset and repurpose old MacBook into a Bitcoin node.

Full node if disc space allows. A pruned node if not.

Yes or no, why or why not?

For the sake of discussion, this is the only piece of hardware available.

100% yes. Way better than a Raspi. More powerful, and most important: has a battery to survive momentary brown outs or longer outages.

Two of my Pis died (I think) because of power issues leading to SD card or ssd corruption.
