I just received another of my favorite kind of reply to a commercial software product bug report, and it goes something like this:

___

Hi, Shawn,

Thank you for your valuable feedback. It’s important to us. It’s how we grow and become better as a company.

After further review, I see how [bug I reported] could [obtuse way of describing a complete failure of a key feature to function as expected by a minimally reasonable person].

Unfortunately, we don’t currently have resources allocated to this [convoluted way to describe the feature-breaking bug which effects the value customers derive from your paid product], but I’ve passed your feedback on to our product team.

Have a great day. Stay safe.

You win a cookie and maybe a 10% off coupon if you ask nicely. This is why I won’t bother doing surveys anymore. Pay me for my time damnit.

I reported a bug to my bank. They didnt even give me a responce... 😞

That, friend, is shouting into the void.

Unfortunately, my eyes scanned to my least favorite words ever which is => unfortunately.

It’s the tell!

They're too busy creating more bugs to stop and fix the existing ones

Quite possibly.
