Kiddo has a friend over. Checked on them and they were on her tablet. Called her downstairs a few minutes later:

Me: You know you’re supposed to get permission to use your tablet, why didn’t you just ask me? I would have said yes.

Her: I wanted to be cool in front of my friend, having to ask permission isn’t cool.

Me: Know what’s cool? Not being grounded. When she leaves it’s over for you.

Huh? My daughter has grown up learning bitcoin. Kids need permission, especially for using devices. For reasons. As she grows up she earns more autonomy. Bad take.
