I've done some reading and yes, it seems the Mediterranean will (and already does) warm faster - the UN page (https://www.unep.org/unepmap/resources/factsheets/climate-change) says it's warming 20% faster. Less rainfall may also cause it to become saltier over time, too.

It could get suddenly very hot, or equally due to sidying weather, suddenly very heavy rainfall with excess fresh water, or massive sea level rise with the Sahara becoming fertile again...

Playing with the planet's weather is a silly dangerous game, but Homo Inprudens likes it!
