Q. will the #Mediterranean's water heat up quicker than bigger seas/oceans as like a small(er) pot on the stove there is less water to heat for a given #energy source?

If so, will the #climatecrisis around the Med get (even) worse quicker than elsewhere?

I ask in a general spirit of curiosity not because I have an answer ready to hand....

The other thought I just had, if it does heat up, will it raise the level of the Mediterranean? Leading to coastal erosion, etc...

I've done some reading and yes, it seems the Mediterranean will (and already does) warm faster - the UN page (https://www.unep.org/unepmap/resources/factsheets/climate-change) says it's warming 20% faster. Less rainfall may also cause it to become saltier over time, too.
