Looking for a job? I want to delete linkedIn so badly but I keep it just in case.
I stick to my current job with no raises for years just so I don't have to go through the whole LinkedIn stuff again. It's big brother's new cudgel for reducing inflation.

From my circle, 1 programmer from Peloton laid off in last two weeks.
I guess that's not a surprise or good vibe check for economy.
Yeah it’s brutal rn. Ppl crying about losing 6 figure jobs and applying like 200 times and not even getting interviews. The fake high paid job era is over. Only the ppl that are valuable are left. The fat has been trimmed
Elon kicked this off when he bought twitter , but it’s tied to the interest rates shooting up. They all overhired and overpaid during the COVID zirp era
Yeah, it seems like it was the blow off top for the overpaid tech talent and non-scarce real estate.
I am optimistic tho with Bitcoin that the tech talent(or untalented) will sort itself into the roles that are best suited for their talents.
All the carpenters and painters and shoemakers are going to be able to save in a good financial instrument and make crafts great again.
