The node system is hard to get used to at first but it’s really clever after you get a feel for it. I realized the other day that I had constructed a rather enormous node structure and set of effects without actually referring to anything and felt pretty good about it.

It’s way more intuitive and easier to not lose things when making a big fusion effect. Somehow the layers and connections and all that was just a mess of relationships that constantly gave me headaches in After Effects.
