Each family does it differently but the general practice is to light the candles, discuss what the principal means to you/how itβll carry forward in the year ahead, and give respect out loud to an ancestor(s) that either passed in the prior year or has been on your mind in general.
Itβs been years since Iβve celebrated Kwanzaa, by myself or with family, so itβs way cool that my brother brought it into #2024. Onward π€β€οΈπ
