Once you start understanding all the features Coldcard has it feels as expected.. ultra hardcore ninja level cypherpunk nostr:npub1az9xj85cmxv8e9j9y80lvqp97crsqdu2fpu3srwthd99qfu9qsgstam8y8

I only question why does not have taproot support yet? And wen taproot so I can move funds into it

That said, I feel it’s incredibly advanced. So many security features from the moment you turn it on, or how you type your pin, or security words to identify potential frauds, or having it completely air gapped, having every file being signed, having your coldcard as entropy generator for others and so on and so forth

Amazing

Only reasons taproot yet is because we are not ultra confident yet. It's a massive change, new cryptographic primitive. The more ppl use and test the Edge release the faster we will be confident about it.

Ok I hope that comes to production soon.. πŸ™.. everything else is awesome

I would use the edge version honestly but is hard for me to assess how β€œbeta” that version is.. and what risks are associated with it

For me using taproot still out on the risk curve until Musig & Frost have more standardized implementations and hardware wallet support.

For now, I think the use of miniscript is the biggest upside of the edge firmware, but we are one of 4-5 companies building on it actively right now. A year from now I imagine ux bugs would be ironed out.

who else is building on it? need to know where to send resume in February.
