At $1 million, bitcoin will be unrecognizable.

It will be an entirely permissioned network.

Taxes will be split over Lightning, only illicit zaps will not be KYC’d, miners will be licensed.

Bitcoiners are expecting the State to either fail or adopt bitcoin. No one is prepared for what full State bitcoin adoption looks like, but it won’t be of the freedom kind.

Only if we fail.

We’re failing.

In your opinion, how are we failing, and how do we right the ship?

no

the protocol’s only reason for existence is to ensure censorship resistance. it makes no sense to operate a permissioned network and make all of the tradeoffs i

The masses don’t care about censorship resistance.

you’re right. that’s why we shouldn’t expect everyone, let alone the government (taxes split through lightning network) to use it

If we take the idea of multiple pillars, it is said that 4 pillars need to be decentralized for the whole to function: communication, law, production and finance. Nostr, ???,???, Bitcoin.

I am curious what a truly decentralized democracy could look like. I’d propose we identify needs via the process rather than selecting people.

Sometimes I think a 5th pillar is needed, defense.

Disagree.
