Less than a year ago, I had a very different opinion what stablecoins had to offer to bitcoin. Over time, especially after trying (and mostly failing) to use them in their current state, it dawned on me that the only correct way to build them is on the Lightning network. This articulates it better than I possibly can.

Totally agree .. Why do you need a block chain for stables ???? JPMC has 20,000 databases .. just add one more .. all the consumer data , log in , KYC ..everything is already in place .. why force people into metamasks !
That said .. stable coins are a vast improvement over current fractiobal banking .. cuz issuer is holding 1 to 1 T bills ..

Google is just regurgitating the same drivel it’s being fed. Blockchains for stablecoins make no sense at all, because they’re not interoperable, and can’t possibly scale to meet the demand as a replacement for Visa and central banks.
