Israel did not exist just 76 years ago. The land it currently occupies was a part of the Palestine, and 95% of people living there at the time were non-jews. However, through backroom dealings it was politically “justified” to cleanse the land of millions of its inhabitants using armed aggression and create a completely new nationalist state.

Also, there were alternative options for a Jewish homeland. The Mormons offered an even larger area in Utah for it.

It didn't have to be this way.

Yes, in the east of USSR Stalin also created autonomous jewish region in 1934. But for some reason jews preferred to kill natives in Palestine for their land instead of taking what has been generously provided to them.
