That's a blessing in disguise, people who truly love conding will stick to the field whereas influencers and larpers will go away at least for the rest of the decade. Also, less and less annoying "a day in the life of a useless PM at Meta" videos polluting the internet.
Junior devs are often pulling more like €50k, over here. Don't see as much of a trend with them being replaced by AI.
if jr. devs now are going through anything like the dot-com bust in 2000, they're gonna be just fine... gotta understand tech dont care about you, and you gotta make it count when getting becomes good. (which it will, queue job interviews about "do you know how to MCP a feature and which pipeline would you use)
the AI threat is really not when it comes to programming, especially back end, but even front end a lot.
it's a reflection of the clown show that is the nostr rockstar devs that there is so many vibe coders turning out garbage. most of the better ones have paid gigs also.
i mean, it just beggars belief that the media is telling normies that programmers are going to be replaced and some miracles are about to happen enabling businesses to spit out secure, stable bespoke apps. i mean, lol. really. claude is one of the best models and it vomits crap into my repos about 2 times out of 3.
