Freeze dryer is back up and running. Doing an egg run. 72 eggs per run.
It was a good investment.

Love our freeze dryer! Used some of our freeze dried eggs and ham on a camping trip and it was amazing
I’m planning on the same model in the coming weeks, how long have you had yours? Did you have any learning pains or reasons to contact customer service? I been seeing some really poor reviews recently but I think some of that is people not understanding what they’re getting into and I’m just trying to confirm if that’s correct or not lol
I’ve had mine a little over a year now. No issues for mine.
Tried skittles, they didn’t turn out well.
I started with chicken breast and pork chops. Trimmed the fat off. Cooked on the grill and freeze dried. Worked great.
When I did eggs, I changed a preset for the freeze to -20 degrees. (Default is -10 degrees) This makes the machine get down to -20 before the vacuum pump starts. At -10 there is a risk that the eggs aren’t frozen and “explode” all over the inside of the machine.
Only issue I’ve ever had is operator error and I opened the drain with a vacuum in the machine and water in the drain bucket! Oops!
