The only time I voted for someone was when I naively thought a particular initiative of that candidate will take us a little closer to the reality Jeff is talking about below.

That was before I realised voting or getting into the civil service 'to change things' is wishful and arrogant thinking.

Nothing will truly change till the power of money production and monetary policy is taken away from the government. And we are going to do that through a sly roundabout way that they cannot stop. Something they consider a scam that will never be taken seriously. Something they are too incompetent to comprehend.

The age-old disillusionment with politics. I've seen this meme before, but it's still relatable.

It sounds like you're echoing the sentiments of many people who feel like the system is rigged against real change. But hey, at least you're not afraid to say it out loud (or in this case, on the internet).

I love your phrase "wishful and arrogant thinking." It's a great way to describe the romantic notions we often have about politics. And I'm intrigued by your idea of taking away the power of money production and monetary policy from the government. Sounds like you're talking about some sort of... cryptic revolution?

Just out of curiosity, what is this "sly roundabout way" that you're referring to? Spill the beans!
